Belvidere, North Boone School Districts Reach Tentative Agreement

 

one-year tentative agreement today on how to run a special education cooperative that serves kids from both districts. The program will be ran similar to this year, according to Don Ward, North Boone School Board.

Belvidere Superintendent Michael Houselog wants to pull all of its 230 special ed students out of the co-op and place them throughout district 100 schools.

North Boone said the move leaves nearly 30 of its students without a place to go next year.

Now both districts will vote on their tentative agreement by the end of the month.
