Some students who participated in Belvidere walkout ticketed

What was the role of District 100 administration and faculty in this walkout? Did they properly advise the students? Did they in any way encourage the situation which lead to the illegal portion of the walkout?

Fines and fees
The students face $100 fines, but violations for breaking city ordinances often range from $100 to $750. Students will be in court on either April 22 or April 29, depending on what school they attend.

“They’re teenagers; they should have told them the consequences beforehand,” she[Sandra Roush] said. “I’m proud of him for what he did and for standing up for good teachers that are being let go. I’m just disappointed in the School District. It seems to me like they used the kids to get the state’s attention.”
